A Thrift Shop With a Purpose
Located in the heart of Windsor, Win-Some-Finds Thrift Shop is more than just a place to discover pre-loved treasures – it’s a mission-driven space designed to create inclusive opportunities and meaningful employment for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Born from a shared vision between Family Partnerships of Connecticut and Windsor community member Diane Bernier, Win-Some-Finds is the product of intentional collaboration, compassion, and commitment to the people of our town.
With the support of Windsor’s Economic Development team, Win-Some-Finds Thrift Shop officially opened its doors on November 30th, 2024.
Supporting Skills, Creating Community
As an extension of Family Partnerships of Connecticut – an agency that has served individuals with “different abilities” for over 20 years – Win-Some-Finds is rooted in empowerment. It offers hands-on vocational training and employment opportunities that foster confidence, independence, and connection. Participants contribute meaningfully to the store’s operations, gaining valuable experience in customer service, merchandising, organization, and teamwork.
Just like our beloved Blue Dragonfly Gift Shop, Win-Some-Finds gives individuals the chance to build skills while building relationships – because meaningful work happens where people feel included, support, and proud of what they do.
