At Family Partnerships of Connecticut, our strength lies in the people behind our mission. Each member of our team brings professional expertise, lived experience, and an unwavering commitment to making a difference in the lives of individuals and families with disabilities.

We are educators, advocates, consultants, and caregivers–but above all, we are partners walking alongside those we serve, every step of the way.

Susan MillerFounder
Susan Miller founded Family Partnerships of Connecticut in 2001 to bridge the gap between families, schools, agencies, and the community. With over 30 years of experience in the field of Human Services, Susan brings both professional expertise and deeply personal insight to her work.

Her journey began in special education classrooms, where she taught students with learning disabilities, behavioral challenges, autism, and intellectual disabilities. Over the years, she developed and led inclusive programming, pre-kindergarten screening, and supervised apartment living programs–always focused on promoting independence, dignity, and quality of life.

As a mother of two children with disabilities, Susan also understands firsthand the daily joys and challenges that families face. Her dual perspective–both professional and personal–continues to shape the heart of Family Partnerships: a place where individuals and families are seen, heard, and empowered.

Our Team

Each member of our team shares a deep belief in personalized care and purposeful support. Based locally in Connecticut, our staff brings a diverse range of skills and backgrounds–from behavioral consulting and vocational placement to educational advocacy and in-home support.
